• The Southeast Minnesota American Guild of Organists presents the 2007 Scholarship Winners Recital at 4 p.m. Sunday at the First Congregational UCC Church, 965 17th Ave. S.W., Rochester. Admission is free.
Recital participants include Emily Howe of Rochester, Jordan Buchholtz of Spring Valley, The Hoang of Owatonna, Minn., and Tim Reichmann and Tyler Simpson of Chatfield.
Organ instructors are Robert Scoggin, Lee Afdahl and Brian Williams.
The scholarship is provided by the J. Isabelle Dyck Fund of the Rochester Area Foundation and is facilitated by the Southeast Minnesota Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. It funds one year of organ study for each recipient. Auditions for the 2008 scholarships will begin at 9 a.m. May 3 at First Presbyterian Church in Rochester. For information, contact Zoe Abrahamson.
• Enjoy a Hawaiian luau at the Family Child Care Inc. banquet on May 12 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester. The banquet celebrates Family Child Care’s 35th anniversary, as well as Family Child Care Provider Week. Doors open at 6 p.m.
