Concert features German soprano

Mezzo soprano Laetitia Cropp will be featured in the next Festival of Music concert at 4 p.m. March 14 at First Presbyterian Church in Rochester.

Cropp will be accompanied by organist Lee Afdahl and the Rochester Boy Choir. She is a native of Germany, where she studied at the Hochschule für; Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main. Cropp has recorded several compact discs, including her most recent, "Let Me Entertain You," which features lighter selections.

She debuted as Hänsel; in the opera "Hänsel; und Gretel," and is scheduled to sing Marzellina in Mozart's "Figaro."
