Haemophilus influenza is a bacterium. The influenza was incorrectly identified in an article about a former Miss America's hearing loss on Page 5B Monday.

A story on Page 1A of some Wednesday editions regarding renovations at Mayowood mansion contained an error. Dr. Charles H. Mayo built the house in 1910 and died in 1939. His son, Dr. Charles W. Mayo, lived in the house until his death in 1968.
