Olmsted County Commissioners will vote Tuesday on whether to ratify a $162 million budget and a $61.2 million tax levy for 2006.
The meeting starts at 9 a.m. in the board chambers at the city-county Government Center.
The county's share of taxes would increase by about 7.4 percent as proposed. Olmsted County is one of three local governments collecting property taxes. The others are the local school district (the Rochester school district for most Olmsted County residents) and the city or township.
County board members heard from dozens of people at a Dec. 1 Truth-in-Taxation hearing. No public hearing is planned as part of Monday's budget discussion.
