The Rochester Police Department's animal control shelter is asking for the public's help locating a dog that jumped on a teenage boy and bit him on his arm last week.

The dog, described as a an older yellow lab-type dog, reportedly bit the teenager about 8 p.m. July 2nd at Cascade Lake. The dog was with its owners.

There was no information as to whether the dog is up to date on its rabies vaccination and because of this, the teen started the rabies series of shots Tuesday, police said in a Facebook post.

The teen's injuries were minor.

Anyone with information on the dog or its owner is asked to contact Animal Control at 507-328-6960 option 1.
