About $1,200 worth of tools and equipment was stolen from an Eyota garage Monday night.

Olmsted County sheriff's deputies were called about 11:55 p.m. to Park Drive Northwest in Eyota for a burglary in progress, according to Capt. Scott Behrns. The 45-year-old homeowner said he heard a loud noise outside of his trailer and when he went outside, he saw a black car driving off down Madison Avenue.

The homeowner found that the lock on his garage appeared to have been worked open and about $1,200 worth of construction tools and hand tools, as well as fishing rods and camping chairs, were missing. A neighbor told deputies he heard a noise about the same time and saw what appeared to be a woman with long blond hair.

The neighbor and the burglar looked at each other before the burglar got into the black four-door sedan. No arrests have been made. The incident is under investigation.
