Crossroads opens season with 2 wins

The Crossroads College men’s basketball season is off to a 2-0 start, but it didn’t necessarily do so easily.

This weekend they hosted the Crossroads Classic, and defeated Nebraska Christian College Friday night, 78-74, and Association Free Lutheran 76-63 Saturday.

But in both games the Knights had to rally from being down at halftime, and being down by double figures in the second half in order to earn victory.

Patrick Porras and Chris Cronin led the Knights on Friday with 20 points apiece, and Brett Capes added 18. Saturday, Porras had another great game with 25 points and Pierre Fulford added 17.

"We are off to a good start," said coach Brad Vaught. "Of all the teams this weekend we were the only to go 2-0."
