Dale C. Barlow — Rochester

ROCHESTER — Dale C. Barlow, 70, formerly of Rochester, died Wednesday (May 30, 2007) in Ignacio, Colo.

Dale Conrad Barlow was born Dec. 26, 1936, in Rochester. He served in the Air Force from 1954 to 1960 and was stationed in Iceland handling medical supplies. He was also a mate in the Merchant Marines. Among other careers, he was a bus driver for the city of Rochester. He married LaVonne Brudos on July 26, 1986, in Rochester. A talented musician, he wrote and published music pieces and recorded music in Nashville, Tenn.

He also took aerial photos based in Farmington in 1990 and moved to Ignacio in 1992.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Kelly Johnson of Lake Jackson, Texas, Penny Beamon of Fairhope, Ala., Colette Fuqua of Carmel, Ind., and Dr. Amy Graft of Winter Garden, Fla.; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister.

A memorial service was held June 3 at Ignacio Community Church. Hood Mortuary & Crematory of Durango, Colo., assisted with cremation arrangements.
