Dallas John George Heins -- Frontenac

FRONTENAC -- The funeral for Dallas John George Heins will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, in Red Wing, with the Rev. Christopher Hoppe officiating. Burial will be in Frontenac Cemetery.

Mr. Heins, 77, of Frontenac, died Friday (Sept. 1, 2006).

He was born March 3, 1929, in rural Lake City and attended country schools in the area. On May 14, 1950, he married Frances Santelman in St. John's Lutheran Church in Frontenac. He worked at Marigold Foods in Red Wing for 37 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Red Wing Jaycees and served as past president of the Frontenac AAL. He enjoyed deer and elk hunting.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Daniel (Karen) of Austin and Brian (Wendy) of Mazeppa; five grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Bonde and Shirley Perkins, both of Red Wing; and two brothers, Donald of Red Wing and Robert of South St. Paul, Minn. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Visitation will be two hours before the service Monday at the funeral home.


The family prefers memorials to the donor's choice.
