ADAMS — The Mass of Christian Burial for Daniel Frank Gruber will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, Minn. Burial will follow in New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Gruber, 86, died March 25, 2009, at Adams Health Care Center. He is the father of Arlene (Cletus) Bastian of Rose Creek.
Other survivors include his wife, Marcella, whom he married Sept. 24, 1946; one additional daughter, Diane (Ronald) Annen of Jefferson City, Mo.; grandchildren, Jason (Shelly) Bastian of Austin, Nicole Bastian and Justin Bastian, both of San Diego, Kristie (Todd) Annen-Kirby of Baltimore, Chloe (Jason) Sebaugh of St. Louis, Mo., and Maxwell Annen of Kalispell, Mont.; and great-grandchildren, Jaidyn Bastian, Jennifer Hanson, Hallie Bastian and Reagan Sebaugh; a sister, Lucille Altmann of Sleepy Eye, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm, and will continue from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
