Darliene A. Timm —Plainview

PLAINVIEW — The funeral for Darliene A. Timm will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview, with the Rev. David Frederickson officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Timm, 80, of Plainview, died Wednesday (Sept. 24, 2008) at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.

Darliene Dowers was born Oct. 11, 1927, in Watertown, S.D. Her family moved to Winona, where she graduated from high school in 1946. On Aug. 6, 1955, she married Donavan Timm. The couple made their home in Plainview.

Mrs. Timm was a member of the Plainview Volunteer Ambulance for more than 20 years and of the Plainview American Legion and VFW auxiliaries for more than 50 years. She loved playing bingo and traveling to see her children.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Arthur (Nona) Huebner of Tallula, Ill.; a daughter, Sherry Wold of Beverly Hills, Fla.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.


Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview, and an hour before the service Monday at the church. There will be a Prayer service at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
