HARMONY -- A funeral Mass for David Arthur Wilhelm will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Nativity Catholic Church in Harmony. Burial will be in St. Bridget's Cemetery near Bluffton, Iowa.
Mr. Wilhelm, 52, of Mason City, Iowa, formerly of Harmony, died Monday (Aug. 23, 2004) at his home.
Born Oct. 2, 1951, in Cresco, Iowa, he graduated from Harmony High School in 1969 and completed the electronics program at Winona Vocational College. He worked for Davis TV in Garner, Iowa, before opening Dave's TV and Stereo in Clear Lake, Iowa. While living in Clear Lake, he was active in the fire department, Jaycees and St. Patrick's Church. On Sept. 8, 1979, he married Jill Ackerman of Ventura, Iowa, and they later divorced. He enjoyed hunting, camping, canoeing and golfing.
Survivors include a daughter, April of Clear Lake; a son, David Joseph "D.J." of Clear Lake; his parents, Art and Sadie Wilhelm of Harmony; three sisters, Diane (Larry) Anderson of Ostrander, Denise Schultz of Lanesboro and Angela (Kyle) Colbenson of Rushford; and two sisters, Richard (Judy) of Garner, Iowa, and Michael (Lisa) of Preston.
