AUSTIN — David T. Thompson, age 65 of Fridley, formerly of Austin, died Thursday evening, May 28, 2009 at Unity Hospital in Fridley. David Theodore Thompson was born August 3, 1943 in Austin, Minnesota to Lewis O. and Margaret E. (Jacobson) Thompson. Following graduation from Austin High School he worked in Iowa and Minnesota, most recently as an instructor at NEI College of Technology for many years. He enjoyed hunting, reading, and a love of boats.

He is survived by sister, Barbara DeRousse, Austin, brother, Douglas Thompson, Fridley, brother-in-law, LeMoyne Kraushaar, Hackensack, nieces, nephews, cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mona, Iowa with Rev. Lydia Mittag officiating. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is in charge of arrangements.
