Several Farm Service Agency programs have deadlines coming up.
Direct and Counter Cyclical Program (DCP)
Sign-up for the DCP program started on Jan. 23 and will end June 1. If you miss the June 1 deadline, procedure does allow the County Committee to approve late filed applications till Aug. 1. Sign-up is an annual enrollment so producers have to complete the enrollment process with the FSA Office yearly.
Average Crop Revenue Election Program (ACRE)
Sign-up for the ACRE program started on Jan. 23 and will also end June 1. If you miss the June 1 deadline, procedure does allows the County Committee to approve late filed applications till Aug. 1. Producers have to annually enroll their farms into the ACRE program every year after the year they made the ACRE Election.

ACRE Election
Producers have until June 1 to make an ACRE Election for farms that are currently not covered under the ACRE provisions. Producers can make an ACRE Election in any crop year from 2009 through 2012.
ACRE Production Evidence
Producers who "Elected" the ACRE provisions in 2011 on farms they operated, have until July 15 to provide production evidence to the FSA Office. Evidence for crop years 2006 through 2011 will need to be provided by this deadline to avoid getting county plug yields. Producers who made the ACRE Election in prior years have until July 15 to provide our office with crop year 2011 production data. Producers will be allowed to use Crop Insurance production data.
Expiring CRP
Producers and landowner who have CRP contracts that will be expiring this year will have until Oct. 1 to re-enroll those contract acres. You will be notified in advance of your contract expiration and what is needed to re-enroll. Please contact your local FSA Office to start the re-enrollment process before it is too late. There is no procedure to allow a re-enrollment after Oct. 1.
Farm Storage Facility Loan Program
Producers who are in need of additional storage, need to make improvements to existing facilities, need a new grain dryer or new grain handling equipment can apply for an FSFL loan any time prior to starting any construction. Loans can be approved for up to $500,000 and repayment terms vary from seven years to 12 years. Your local FSA offices have application packages available to assist producers in making an application.

Farm Changes (reconstitutions)
Aug. 1 is the final date to notify the FSA office of any farm changes needed for the 2012 crop year. If you have purchased land we will need a copy of the filed deed and please notify our office if you have sold land, rented new land, or will not be operating a farm in crop year 2012.
