RED WING — A memorial service for Debra Kay Semmann was at 2 p.m. today at Red Oak Grove Lutheran Church in rural Austin; the Rev. Dennis Tamke officiated.
Mrs. Semmann, 48, of Morristown, Minn., formerly of Austin, died Thursday (March 13, 2008) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Debra Witt was born Dec. 13, 1959, in Austin, where she grew up and attended school. After graduating from Austin High School in 1978, she attended the University of Minnesota. On Feb. 21, 1981, she married Steve Semmann in Austin. The couple moved to Morristown, where they raised their four children. A paraprofessional in education and an interior decorator, she was devoted to her family and attended all her children’s sports events. She was also a dog lover.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jessica (Casey) Renchin of Hollandale, Minn., and Lindsey of Morristown, Minn.; two sons, Clint of Dodge Center and Travis of Morristown, Minn.; her parents, Mary and Ivan Witt of Rose Creek; and two grandchildren.
Worlein Funeral Home in Austin was in charge of arrangements.
