Deutsch 2nd in multi-state meet

NISSWA, Minn. -- Rochester's Eric Deutsch tied for second in a field of 69 male junior golfers from around the country in the three-day hp Junior Classic sponsored by the American Junior Golf Association.

Deutsch's seven-over-par 223 had him four shots behind the winner, Patrick Herzog of Red Wing. He went 70-77-76 at The Pines at Grandview Lodge. The 70 had him in a two-stroke lead after one round.

Rochester's Lee Schloesser tied for 34th with a 238 that included a final-day 73. Reed Reynolds was tied for 47th with a 244. Nate Schunke tied for 50th with a 246. Ben Moore was tied for 55th with a 250.
