PILLAGER, Minn. -- The body of a 49-year old man has been recovered from Hardy Lake near this central Minnesota city, authorities said.
Edward F. Kordiak of Spring Lake Park was reported missing on the lake around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sheriff Randy Fisher said. His body was recovered by divers four hours later.
Kordiak was not wearing a life jacket and apparently dove into the lake after one of his sons jumped out of the boat they were in, Fisher said. The son was wearing a life jacket and was rescued by another boater.
Pillager is 13 miles west of Brainerd.
