GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. -- Despite some April snow, the Department of Natural Resources is imposing burning restrictions on central and northern portions of the state.
On Monday, the agency will stop issuing outdoor burning permits in Anoka, Chisago, Isanti and Sherburne Counties.
The following week, the restrictions will extend to 26 more counties.
The restrictions will generally last about five weeks or when vegetation becomes safer.
