RUSHFORD -- The funeral for Dolores Ada Humble will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in Peterson, with the Rev. Wade E. Davick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Humble, 80, died Thursday (Feb. 2, 2006) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Dolores Ada Rude was born June 25, 1925, in Peterson. She married Raymond Humble on Oct. 12, 1946, in Rushford. She had worked for the Lefse Factory in Rushford, and she also worked for Rush Products for 17 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of Highland Prairie Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Mary Circle. She had also been a 4-H leader. She enjoyed cooking, decorating and helping people, including delivering meals on wheels.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sharon (Murt) Boyum of St. Charles and Sandee (Denny) McCallum of Rochester; a son, Rod (Chris) Humble of Peterson; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bette (Curtis) Ellingson of Red Wing. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hoff Funeral Homes -- Rushford Chapel, and also an hour before the service Monday at the church.
