Donald Lee Stewart — Stewartville

STEWARTVILLE — The memorial service for Donald Lee Stewart will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Community Celebration Church in Kasson, with the Rev. Steve Larson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.

Mr. Stewart, 55, of Stewartville, died Monday (Nov. 17, 2008) at his home of cancer. He had been ill for three months.

He was born June 4, 1953, in Rochester, and grew up in Rochester. He worked 35 years in maintenance at Crenlo in Rochester. He enjoyed hunting, pow-wows, and spending time with his grandchildren and friends. Mr. Stewart moved to Stewartville in 1994.

He is survived by a daughter, Shawn Stewart of Rochester; five grandchildren; his mother, Shirley Stewart of Rochester; and a brother, Roy of Hayfield. Other survivors include a niece, Nicole Ly of Stewartville; and a nephew, Stewart Kruger of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.

Friends may call an hour before the service Friday at the church in Kasson.

The family prefers memorials to Heartland Hospice.
