MABEL -- The funeral for Donna J. Olson will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Scheie Lutheran Church in rural Mabel, with the Rev. Mary Waudby officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Olson, 62, of rural Mabel, died Sunday (Oct. 10, 2004) at her home.
Donna J. Stetzer was born Jan. 7, 1942, in Chicago and graduated from Houston High School. On June 3, 1961, she married Kenneth Schroeder. They divorced, and she continued to live in Caledonia and worked at Crest Motel. On Feb. 28, 1987, she married Paul Olson, and they made their home in rural Mabel. She was a member of Scheie Lutheran Church and WELCA, and enjoyed cats, reading and playing the accordion.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Deanna (Harley) Welscher of Mabel, Sherry Williams of La Crosse, Wis., and Lisa Bulman of Caledonia; two sons, Todd of Burnsville, Minn., and Tony (Gwen) of La Crescent; eight grandchildren; and her parents, Henry and Sylvia (Pfaff) Stetzer of Hokah.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel and one hour before the service Thursday at the church.
