ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Donna Kruger was today at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Sioux Falls, S.D. Burial was in Hills of Rest Memorial Park in Sioux Falls.
Mrs. Kruger, 81, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Rochester and Eyota, died Saturday (Sept. 6, 2003) at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Donna Sewill was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Fountain, grew up on a farm near Eyota and graduated from Eyota High School. On March 15, 1941, she married Loren Kruger in Minneapolis. They lived in Rochester until moving to Sioux Falls in 1945. While in Rochester, she worked at Glen-Denning Trucking and at a defense plant. In Sioux Falls, she was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress out of her home for many years. She had lived at Good Samaritan Center since 2002. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Karyl (Patrick) O'Neil of Worthington, Minn., and Bette Jo (Conway) Bowman of Sioux Falls; a son, Steven (Carol) of Marshall, Minn.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Darleine Mohler of Bullhead City, Ariz.
