Don’t delay school improvements

I have been a resident of Pine Island since 1979 and have had all my sons enrolled K-12 during that time. While they were in school I, and my wife, Joanne, spent many hours volunteering to assist where we could when the boys participated in extra-curricular activities.

My youngest son graduated in 2001, and although I don’t see the inside of the school as much as I did before, when I have been inside, it is apparent that the crowding we saw before has gotten worse. I know many of the people who have spent countless hours considering alternatives for the school district and I believe them when they say we had better support this proposal now, because as time goes on we can only get less for more money.

We have already lost potential government funds from delay. We have already lost effective money from price increases.
