Dorothy L. Fenton -- Wabasha

WABASHA -- The funeral for Dorothy L. Fenton will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Homestead United Methodist Church in Rochester with the Revs. Duane Gebhard and Dennis Cox Townsend officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.

Mrs. Fenton, 89, of Wabasha, died Thursday (May 1, 2003) at Wabasha Health Care Center.

Dorothy Klebsch was born April 5, 1914, in Eyota and grew up in Rochester, where she graduated from high school. She married Merle H. Fenton, and the couple moved to California before returning to Minnesota and living in Pine City. They moved to Wabasha in 1973, and she had lived there since then. She was a sales clerk at Dayton's for several years, retiring in 1976. Mr. Fenton died in 1984.

Mrs. Fenton was a member of Homestead United Methodist Church and was involved in many of its activities.

She is survived by a nephew, a great-niece and two great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister.


Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ranfranz &; Vine Funeral Homes, Rochester, and an hour before the service at the church.
