ST. PAUL -- Minnesota's application for federal agricultural disaster relief will be formally submitted on Monday.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty's spokeswoman, Leslie Kupchella, said Friday that administration officials were finishing the details. She said they wanted to get the most up-to-date information from the state's counties on drought damage.
Kupchella said she expects many of the state's 87 counties to be included in the request. A lack of rain this summer has damaged crops across the state.
