A string of drug charges filed against a Rochester woman more than two years ago after authorities seized marijuana and other drugs were dismissed this week.
Senior Assistant Olmsted County Attorney Eric Woodford dismissed the entire criminal complaint filed against Nicole Adrian Middendorf, 34, on Tuesday, the day she was to go on trial.
She and Brian Virgil Lee, 44, were charged with first-, second-, third- and fifth-degree controlled substance crime after a search warrant was executed at their residence on Nov. 17, 2005. They were not home at the time but turned themselves in later.

During the search, officials said they seized 50 pounds of marijuana, more than 20 grams of methamphetamine, 3 grams of cocaine and other items.
Lee pleaded guilty in July 2006 to one count of second-degree controlled substance crime and was sentenced in September 2006. He was put on probation for 20 years, given some jail time and a fine.
Woodford declined to comment on why the complaint against Middendorf was dismissed other than to say it was "in the interest of justice."
