The Minnesota Ice Hawks dropped just their fourth game of the season Sunday, losing 4-2 to Dubuque at the Recreation Center.
Cole Hughes scored for the Hawks on a power play in the first period to keep the game close at 2-1. But Dubuque scored two more in the second period to make the score 4-1 after two periods.
The Ice Hawks' Thor Josefson scored another power-play goal in the third to finish the scoring. He was assisted by Brent Burgau.
Shots were 54-45 in Dubuque's favor. Joey Spracklen was in goal for the Ice Hawks.
Despite the defeat the Ice Hawks are still in first place in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League with a 17-4-1 record.

The Ice Hawks are home again Saturday against Twin Bridges of Ames, Iowa.
