Eckhart wins late model feature at Deer Creek

RACINE -- Chatfield stock car racer Neil Eckhart won the feature race in the Wissota Late Model division Saturday night at the Deer Creek Speedway.

Eckhart held off Dan Fagerlind of Dover and Nick Kramer of Pine Island to win the late model feature.

Mitch Johnson of Hickson, N.D., made his long drive worthwhile with a feature win the Wissota Late Model division. Mike Sorenson of Rochester finished third behind Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis.

Sorenson also finished second in the Modified feature.

Other feature race winners included Brownsdale driver Brian Shaw in the Modified Lite, West Concord's Steve Westzstein in the Modified, and Chatfield's Bill Clemens in the Wissota Super Stocks. Clemens held off fellow Chatfield racer George Batzel.

Jim Gustafson of Prior Lake won the Wissota Street Stock, with Rochester's Jeff Brauer second.
