Edgar Prigge — Lewiston

LEWISTON — The funeral for Edgar Prigge, 93, of Lewiston, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston, with the Revs. David A. Fischer and Michael A. Lindemann co-officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Prigge was born May 4, 1913, in Lewiston. He married Erna Grams on June 2, 1937, in Pleasant Valley. They lived in Stockton until 1942, then farmed near Lewiston until moving to town in 1945. He sold John Deere implements for Feiten Implement in Winona, then for Lewiston Auto and Wagnild Chevrolet in Winona, retiring in 1981. He was top salesperson at Wagnild’s for 11 of the 12 years he worked there. He enjoyed working with his raspberries, grapes and apple trees. He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two sons, William (Sally Jo) of Cheyenne, Wyo., and James (Carmen) of Lewiston; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Irene (Robert) Dorothy of Bismarck, N.D. He was preceded in death by his wife on May 27, 1998; a brother; and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in Hoff Family Funeral Home-Lewiston Chapel and for one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
