Edna L. Jensen Beuerman — Rochester

ROCHESTER — A memorial service for Edna L. Jensen Beuerman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Charter House Chapel in Rochester. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Ansgar (Iowa) City Cemetery.

Mrs. Beuerman, 88, died Saturday (Feb. 10, 2007) in Rochester.

Edna Jensen was born Aug. 18, 1918, in St. Ansgar, Iowa. She was married to Dr. Virgil A. Beuerman for 56 years. He preceded her in death in 1996. They spent 23 years in the Navy at a number of naval stations. They settled in West Lafayette, Ind., in 1963, and moved to Rochester in 1990. She volunteered at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette for many years. They attended Presbyterian churches in each city.

Survivors include three children, Roger (Raga) of Singapore and New Orleans, La., Richard Allen (Deborah) of Little Rock, Ark., and Cindy of Argentina; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Art (Evelyn) Jensen of St. Ansgar and Clarence (Wylma) Jensen of Hibbing, Minn.; and a sister, Helene Johnson of St. Ansgar. Other survivors include two sisters-in-law, Ruth Jensen of Chatfield and Della Jensen of St. Ansgar. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Orlo, Harold and Merle Jensen; and a sister, Maurine Moore.

Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Homes of Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
