ROCHESTER -- A memorial service for Eileen Worden will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ranfranz &; Vine Funeral Homes, with the Rev. Linda Helberg officiating. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Elba at a later date.
Mrs. Worden, 85, of Rochester, a retired IBM employee, died Tuesday (July 15, 2003) at her home.
Eileen Smith was born June 11, 1918, in London, came to the United States in 1920 and grew up in Michigan. On Jan. 5, 1935, she married Earl A. Worden in Flint, Mich. In 1958, she moved to California and began working for IBM. She retired to Florida and moved to Rochester following her husband's death in 1993. Mrs. Worden enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, painting and traveling.
Survivors include a son, Philip (Helen) of Rochester; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A great-grandson preceded her in death.
Friends may call an hour before the service Friday at the funeral home.
