Electronics manufacturer lays off 55

HIBBING, Minn. -- Reptron Electronics Inc. has laid off 55 workers at its Hibbing plant, cutting its total work force to 465.

Bonnie Fena, president of Reptron Hibbing, cited reduced demand that the company expects to last into the first quarter next year.

The plant's work force is down from about 665 employees in March.
