AUSTIN -- The funeral for Elizabeth M. "Betty" Gerhart will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin, with the Rev. Hubert Boschert officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Austin.
Mrs. Gerhart, 88, of Austin, a retired Hormel Foods Corp. employee, died Wednesday morning (April 10, 2002) at Austin Medical Center.
Elizabeth M. Schwamm was born Aug. 9, 1913, in Rose Creek and graduated from Central High School. In 1954 she married Clarence Gerhart in Austin. He died in 1988. Mrs. Gerhart worked at Hormel more than 25 years. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church and a former member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards and crafts.
She is survived by nieces and nephews. Three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call an hour before the service Friday at the church.
