AUSTIN --The funeral for Elmer Arthur Chapek will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trondhjem Lutheran Church in Hayward, Minn., with the Rev. John Malm officiating. Burial will be in Bohemian Cemetery in Myrtle.
Mr. Chapek, 80, of Albert Lea, father of two Austin men, died Tuesday (Aug. 24, 2004) at New Richland Care Center.
Survivors include two sons, Gregory and Brian, both of Austin; a granddaughter; a brother, Donald (Arlene) of Austin; and two sisters including Alice Hofner of Austin. A sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin, and at the church one hour before the service on Saturday.
