ROCHESTER -- A memorial service for Elnathan D. Erickson will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Macken Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Lester J. Horntvedt officiating. The body has been cremated.
Mr. Erickson, 72, of Chester, a retired X-ray technician, died Thursday (July 3, 2003) at his home.
Born Feb. 2, 1931, in Frankville, Iowa, he grew up in Iowa and after high school, served in the military during the Korean War. He graduated from X-ray technical school in St. Cloud and later moved to Rochester and was an X-ray technician at Olmsted Community Hospital until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Survivors include four sons, Scott (Diana) of Bakersfield, Calif., and Rick (Joyce), Brad and Todd, all of Mazeppa; four grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; his mother, Evelyn Thomas of Decorah, Iowa; two sisters, Jettey Larson of Decorah and Linda (Don) Hoag of St. Ansgar, Iowa; and a brother, Wayne Thomas of Decorah. His father preceded him in death.
Friends may call an hour before the service Thursday at the funeral home.
