AUSTIN -- The funeral for Ernest P. Wilson will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel in Austin, with the Rev. Kristi Koppel officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin.
Mr. Wilson, 94, of Austin, died at his home.
He was born March 2, 1911, in Vernon Township, Dodge County. He attended school at Rock Dell and was confirmed at the West St. Olaf Lutheran Church. He worked in the CCC program in Northern Minnesota before going to work at the Geo. A Hormel Co., where he worked for more than 30 years, retiring in 1976. He enjoyed reading, time at the Austin Public Library, walking, carpentry, and his dog, which died earlier this year.
Survivors include a sister, Doris Baumann of Kasson. He was preceded in death by five brothers.
Visitation will be an hour before the service on Saturday.
