Ernest T. Morrow -- Lake City

LAKE CITY -- No services or visitation are planned for Ernest T. Morrow, 85, of Lake City, who died Friday (Sept. 27, 2002) at Lake City Hospital-Mayo Health System. The body has been cremated.

Mr. Morrow was born Dec. 7, 1916, in Plum City, Wis., where he grew up before the family moved to Faribault and later Lake City.

He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. After his discharge, he returned to Lake City and on Jan. 5, 1946, married Evelyn Behrns there.

He worked for the Tenant &; Hoyt Flour Mill for 47 years, retiring in 1983.

He was a member of Lake City VFW Post No. 8729 and a former member of the Lake City Country Club.


Survivors include his wife; two sons, Duane (Pat) of Portland, Ore., and Steven of Manitou Springs, Colo.; and a grandson. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
