WANAMINGO -- The funeral for Esther Lois Elias will be 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with the Revs. Harold Everson and Gary Schulz co-officiating. Burial will be in St. Ansgar's Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
Mrs. Elias, 73, of Cannon Falls, formerly of Wanamingo, died Thursday morning (April 11, 2002) at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls.
Esther Lois Froyum was born Jan. 21, 1929, in Roscoe Township, Goodhue County, and grew up in the Wanamingo area. On April 26, 1947, she married Leslie L. "Les" Elias at Lands Lutheran Church in Zumbrota.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Nancy Anderson of Hemet, Calif., and Julie (Steve) Prink of Shakopee, Minn.; four sons, Ken (Barb) and Tom (Kathy), both of Cannon Falls, Gary (Roberta) of Little Falls, Minn., and Todd (Carrie) of East Bethel, Minn.; 22 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy (Rev. Harold) Everson of Billings, Mont. She was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls and an hour before the service Sunday at the church.
