ROCHESTER — The funeral for Esther M. Starkson will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, with the Rev. Norman Wahl officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Starkson, 95, of Rochester, died Saturday (Aug. 30, 2008) in Rochester.
Esther Marie Tvedt was born Aug. 12, 1913, in Salem Township, and lived her entire life in Olmsted County. She married Harold L. Starkson July 2, 1938, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester. He died in 1983.
She was a homemaker and waitress at the Kahler Hotel for 30 years. She was a long-time member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds and baking cookies.
She is survived by a son, Jim Starkson (Betty), of Rochester; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Norman (Dorothy) Brakke, of Rochester.

She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday.
Memorials are preferred to Bethel Lutheran Church, Golden Living Center East or the donor’s choice.
