Esther M. Wagner -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- A funeral Mass for Esther M. Wagner will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Prior Lake, Minn., with the Rev. Ken Bartsch and Deacon Russ Shupe officiating. Burial will be in Credit River Cemetery in Prior Lake.

Mrs. Wagner, 72, of St. Paul, formerly of Rochester, died Tuesday (Jan. 15, 2002) at her home.

Esther M. Muelken was born March 24, 1929, in Prior Lake. She married Louis P. Hartmann on May 26, 1951, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Prior Lake. He died in 1973. On Oct. 9, 1982, she married Joseph N. Wagner at St. Michael Catholic Church in Prior Lake and he preceded her in death in March 1986. Mrs. Wagner was a secretary at Westwood Elementary School in Prior Lake for 13 years and retired in 1982. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Prior Lake, Pax Christi Catholic Church in Rochester, and St. Leo and St. Gregory's Catholic Church in St. Paul.

Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Hartmann of Lisle, Ill., and Patricia Hartmann of St. Paul; a granddaughter; and two sisters, Betty Radanke of Prior Lake and Donna (Jerome) Simpkins of Carson City, Nev.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home in Prior Lake, where there will be a prayer service at 7 p.m.
