Eunice Alvira Moser -- Blooming Prairie

BLOOMING PRAIRIE -- The funeral for Eunice Alvira Moser will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie, with the Rev. Richard Hegal officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.

Mrs. Moser, 92, a longtime Blooming Prairie homemaker, died this morning at Prairie Manor Nursing Home, where she had lived since March 2000.

Eunice Alvira Houchin was born Jan. 28, 2005, in Taylor, Neb., and grew up in South Dakota. On Feb. 18, 1931, she married Henry Olson in Mora, Minn. Her second marriage was to Harold "Pete" Moser on Nov.10, 1947, in Northwood, Iowa. He preceded her in death. She worked at Cedar View Nursing Home in Owatonna and Hollandale Marketing and did babysitting. Mrs. Moser was a member of First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie.

Survivors include three sons, Robert (Mary) Olson, Roy (Cheryl) Olson and Harold (Billie Joy) Moser, all of Blooming Prairie; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vera Wessel and Janice Dero, both of Albert Lea; and a brother, Ernest (Cindy) Houchin of Central City, Neb. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a daughter, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, a great-great-grandson, five sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Worlein-Blooming Prairie Funeral Home and an hour before the service Monday at the church.
