ROCHESTER -- A funeral Mass for Evelyn A. McConnell will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Macken Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Harry Jewison officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Miss McConnell, 91, of Rochester, a retired legal secretary, died Wednesday (July 2, 2003) at Saint Marys Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Jan. 16, 1912, on the family farm in Orion Township, Olmsted County, she attended a country school and graduated from St. John's High School in Rochester. She worked at Mayo Clinic for a time before moving to Denver, where she was a legal secretary until her retirement. She returned to Rochester a few weeks ago due to health reasons.
Survivors include a sister, Bernice (Eugene) Nixa of Rochester. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
