Evelyn Amundson -- Blooming Prairie

BLOOMING PRAIRIE -- The funeral for Evelyn Amundson will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie.

Mrs. Amundson, 91, of Blooming Prairie, a lifelong area resident, died early Monday morning (Sept. 8, 2003) at Prairie Manor Care Center.

Evelyn Borchert was born Nov. 15, 1912, in Steele County. On May 3, 1933, she married Sydney J. Amundson in Owatonna. She was involved in many church activities, was a 4-H leader, and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing and traveling.

Survivors include three sons, Marvin (Norma) of Owatonna, Roger (Marian) of Blooming Prairie and Gordon of Austin; two daughters, Marian (Charles) Lehman of Medicine Lake, Wash., and Geraldine (Robert) Felstul of Bella Vista, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Agnes Aune of Paradise, Calif., Martha Kramer of Hayfield and Marlene Mutz of Culver City, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son and four sisters.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Worlein-Blooming Prairie Funeral Home and an hour before the service Thursday at the church.
