Event will make homelessness hit home

The second "Cardboard Box City" night will be Oct. 20. The event is meant to raise awareness of the homeless in Olmsted County.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to sleep in a cardboard box and experience homelessness for one night. According to Joanne Markee, the chairwoman of Cardboard Box City 2006: "This will give everyone a greater insight into what families, men, women and children have to struggle with on a daily basis."
