Mark Ritchie, an international fair-trade advocate, will speak Thursday evening at a Rochester hotel.
Ritchie will talk about "Globalization and the Future of Our Planet" at Comfort Inn, 1625 S. Broadway, starting at 7 p.m.
Ritchie is president of the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, based in Minneapolis. He was the founder of Transfer USA and Headwaters Peace Coffee, the first certified Fair Trade coffee companies in America.
During the past two decades, Mark has focused on linking leaders in the agriculture and food industry in the United States with their counterparts in other countries.

He is organizing an international fair-trade expo and symposium for the upcoming World Trade Organization meeting in Cancun, Mexico.
