The Rev. Joey Faller, a Catholic priest from the Philippine Islands, will celebrate a healing Mass at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Resurrection in Rochester.
A free-will offering will be taken to help Faller complete construction projects for the homeless in his parish. Refreshments will follow. The church is located at 1600 11th Ave. S.E.
CHURCH CENTENNIAL
Holy Trinity Church in Goodhue will celebrate its centennial with a 1 p.m. July 13 Mass celebrated by Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis Bishop Richard Pates.
Lunch will be served at 2 p.m. and is followed by a program. Holy Trinity had approximately 38 families in 1903 and has 81 families today.

MINISTRIES CONFERENCE
A conference titled "Let Freedom Ring" will be held July 16-19 at Best Western Apache in Rochester.
Organized by Resurrection Life Outreach in Wanamingo, the conference will be focused on ministry training. Cost is $45 per person, free for ages 18 and under and for full-time college students. BIBLE SCHOOL
Emmanuel Baptist Church will feature "The Great Kingdom Caper," a vacation Bible school for kindergarten through sixth grade, from 8:30 a.m. to noon July 14-18. CONCERT SET
Carl and Ruth Engstrom will perform a full concert at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Stewartville. A free-will offering will be taken at the concert, which will feature traditional hymns, gospel music, and instrumental and vocal solos and duets. The church is located at 100 5th St. S.E.
PASTOR APPOINTED

Bishop John Hopkins of the Minnesota United Methodist Conference has appointed the Rev. Jeffrey Utecht as senior pastor of Evangel United Methodist Church in Rochester.
Utecht, a graduate of Augsburg College and Bethel Seminary, has served Hastings and Lindstrom United Methodist churches as senior pastor and Rochester United Methodist Church as associate pastor.
Utect and his wife, Lori, have two children: Ben, 21, and Ashley, 17.
ORDINATION
Bryce Philip Wandrey will be ordained into the Office of Public Ministry in a 3 p.m. Sunday service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elgin.
Wandrey, of Elgin, earned a master of divinity degree from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Ind.
On July 13, he will be installed as pastor of Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hickory, N.C.
