WABASHA — Xcel Energy crews are currently working to restore power to 3,465 customers in the Wabasha, Kellogg and Lake City area after a tree fell on a power line north of Wabasha.
Xcel Energy spokeswoman Patti Nystuen said the power was knocked out at about 2:45 a.m. today.
Crews were having a difficult time getting to the source of the power outage, because it's in a wooded area, Nystuen said.

She estimated that the power would be restored to the area by 1 p.m. today.
Classes at Wabasha-Kellogg school were delayed by two hours today due to the outage.
A Wabasha County dispatcher said there weren't any other reports of damage overnight.
