FAMILY TIME CALENDAR - Sat.Rochester Area Gymnastics Academy Open House will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4430 19th St. N.W. As part of National Gymnastics Day, the event will include free trial lessons, face painting, games and refreshments.

Tues.Storytimes in Spanish are each Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Austin Public Library. Free.

Wed.Story Time is offered each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Pied Piper bookstore in Miracle Mile, Rochester.

Mother Goose Time, a 20-minute story time for children younger than 3, begins at 9:30 a.m. Oliver's Tales, a half-hour story time led for children ages 3 to 6 by a mischievous dog, starts at 10 a.m. And Family Story Time for all ages begins at 4:30 p.m. at Austin Public Library.

Half Pint and Oscar will perform at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Rochester Public Library auditorium.

Thurs.Pre-school Story Time begins at 9:30 a.m. at Austin Public Library.

Fri.Story Time for young children with Shawn Kettlecamp begins at 10 a.m. at Barnes and Noble bookstore. Information: 288-3848.

Moonlight Hike begins at 8 p.m. at Chester Woods Park. Meet at the Kiosk by the boat ramp. For ages 5 and older.

"Magic: The Science of Illusion" continues at the Science Museum of Minnesota, 120 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul. The touring exhibit offers a hands-on, behind-the-scenes look at magic tricks, videos of illusions performed by famous magicians and an opportunity to become a magician's apprentice.
