A Faribault man died as the result of injuries sustained in an all-terrain vehicle accident Saturday near Pilot Mound, the Fillmore County Sheriff's Department said.
Russell Johnson, 18, died Sunday. Johnson was injured when he lost control of his ATV, crashed through a fence, and came to rest in a pasture. He was thrown from the vehicle.
Friends and family searched for Johnson and found him at the accident scene.
Chatfield ambulance responded, and Johnson was taken to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, where he later died.
The accident is being investigated by the sheriff's department with assistance from the Chatfield Police Department.
