A: I've tried to talk my husband into it, but I don't think that would work because he's as busy as I am.

A: I just try to keep active. My work keeps me active. My flower gardens and my grandkids …

; Q: Where do you shop and for what?

A: I usually shop at Marshall Field's, but I'll shop anywhere where there's a good bargain. I don't like to buy things at full price. If it's on sale anywhere for a good price, I'll get it.

When I'm not looking for something, that's when the good bargains will pop out. A lot of times it might be whatever strikes my fancy or I do a lot shopping for the grandkids -- that part really gets me in trouble. (She has five grandkids and another one on the way.) They're fun to spoil.

Q: What's your philosophy on makeup and accessories?

A: I think every woman should wear at least some makeup, a natural minimum, even just a little mascara and blush and lipstick and out the door you can go. As far as jewelry goes, unless you're really dressy and getting very fancy, the simpler it is the nicer it looks.

Q: What do you know at 52 that you wish you knew at 22?

A: How fast life goes on and to live everyday to its fullest and really take time to enjoy life.

Q: Dispel a myth on aging…

; A: I used to think 50 was old. (Now) I think you're only as old as you feel. If you keep active and take care of your body, then you don't really age; you can't go by the numbers.

Q: Is there any style item you regret not buying?

A: Not that I can really think of. There are maybe styles that I wish I could wear that I can't. (For example,) I would never be that slinky black dress type, that's not me. I'm more of the natural, khaki, denim, casual.

Q: You're an Avon lady, if you could make over someone famous, who would it be, how and why?

A: It probably would be Joan Rivers because she is the classic example of too much makeup, overdone and wears an excessive amount of jewelry.
